Since many of the O'Malley fans didn't like this one so much I started this book with very few expectations. Fortunately I prefer to make my own mind because up to now it's my most favorite or the second one from the O'Malley books.Jennifer is a love story to give you background information about the time shortly before the series start so you can understand how Jennifer and Tom met. Jennifer is a quite different character within the O'Malley clan so this was the only way her story was going to work especially since her following story is told by bits and pieces within all the other books.If you are looking for suspense you will be disappointed because this is not the purpose of the book, but you don't need to reed it to understand Jennifer's story. So if you like clean but masterfully developed characters with Christian message and want better understanding of Jennifer’s character I invite you to read this comparative short book.
